Timmy the Turtle

This morning Joseph told me he had an invisible pet turtle living in the dog's water bowl. 

He named it Timmy the Turtle, and pretended to pick it up. Then he played with it on the kitchen counter while I made breakfast. He was being so careful with his little pet, petting it and kissing it. 

While he played, I continued to cook breakfast. 

I forgot where he had put the turtle, so Joseph gravely informed me that I had smashed it when I set down a plate of breakfast. 

Ooops. 

Luckily Mommy's kisses work equally well on little boys and invisible turtles...
